About the Role

John Holland is looking to engage with capable and ambitious Project Managers with Rail, Construction and Civil Engineering experience to work on a longer-term projects that will see you deliver a diverse list of projects covering all aspects of green and brown field Rail construction projects.

You will be able to utilise your people, planning, technical and delivery skills delivering this high profile infrastructure project. In addition, you will be joining a high functioning team of established engineers and managers.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Project delivery, proactively plan, monitor, and manage the performance of project delivery.
  • Communicate with your stakeholders, ensure you build and maintain productive relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take effective remedial action as required.
  • Develop, lead and motivate your team throughout the project, working towards best practice project management standards and meet all regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Work with your commercial team on all aspects of financial reporting, management, and forecasting.

To be successful in this key role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications suitable to work on large and complex Rail projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Project Manager position or be more than ready to step up into a leadership role.
  • Successful construction management of multidisciplinary projects from a wide range of contract values and complexity
  • Expertise in working within a rail environment, following rail procedures and processes is desirable. Ability to understand Rail Signalling Fundamentals.
