The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

The role

We are currently establishing our Precast production teams in preparation for tunnelling to commence in early 2026, and we are seeking expressions of interests from experienced concrete pump operators to join our dynamic team.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining water treatment systems used in the management of process and wastewater generated from TBM activities.

 

This role is critical to ensuring environmental compliance, efficient TBM operations, and effective water reuse or discharge. The operator will work closely with the construction and environmental teams on-site.

 

  • Operate and monitor TBM water treatment systems
  • Ensure treated water meets environmental discharge and regulatory standards.
  • Perform routine sampling, water quality testing, and adjustments to treatment parameters.
  • Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance, and testing data.
  • Conduct inspections and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on treatment equipment.
  • Monitor chemical inventory and assist in safe storage and handling.
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions and escalate complex issues to supervisors.
  • Ensure safety protocols and environmental regulations are always followed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in water or wastewater treatment plant operation (TBM or construction environment preferred).
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and chemical systems related to water treatment.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance standards for discharge water.
  • Valid certifications or licenses (where applicable by region or project).
  • Ability to work in shift rotations, including night shifts and weekends, as required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Physically fit to work in a construction and tunneling environment.
