The Project:
The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.
The Role:
Reporting to the Building Project Manager, the Site Supervisor will oversee day-to-day construction activities associated with MOC and Surface Buildings project-wide.
You will manage site interfaces, safety, coordination and scheduling while ensuring building works are fully integrated with Mechanical, Electrical and broader T2D construction activities.
This is a hands-on supervisory role within a complex Alliance delivery environment requiring strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities for Maintenance & Operations Centres (MOC) and Surface Buildings across multiple T2D sites
- Coordinate building subcontractors and ensure effective integration with Mechanical, Electrical, civil and structural works
- Manage site interfaces, logistics, access and deliveries to maintain safe and productive work fronts
- Lead daily coordination meetings and facilitate communication between subcontractors and broader T2D construction teams
- Monitor construction progress against programme and proactively resolve site constraints and risks
- Ensure works are delivered safely, in compliance with Alliance systems, Australian Standards and approved design requirements
- Drive safety leadership through site inspections, pre-start meetings, audits and active field presence
- Manage technical queries, design changes and construction issues in collaboration with engineering teams
- Support testing, commissioning and handover activities to ensure operational readiness
- Maintain accurate daily reporting, progress tracking and workforce coordination
- Promote Alliance values and foster a collaborative, high-performance and zero-blame culture
About You:
- Experienced Site Supervisor with a background delivering building works on major infrastructure or complex construction projects
- Demonstrated capability coordinating multidisciplinary construction interfaces, particularly Mechanical and Electrical integration within buildings
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing subcontractors, trades and site teams across multiple work areas
- Proven commitment to safety leadership and WHS compliance within high-risk construction environments
- Ability to identify risks early, troubleshoot issues and drive practical solutions to maintain programme outcomes
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills across contractors, engineers and client representatives
- Highly organised with strong planning, reporting and problem-solving capability
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in construction supervision within Tier 1 contractor, Alliance or major project environments
- Relevant construction qualification, trade background or equivalent industry experience supported by Safety Supervisor credentials
- Experience using construction reporting and project management systems (e.g. Aconex, Power BI or similar) highly regarded
