The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.
The Role
We are seeking a technically strong Data Engineer to support our team with database integration, data transformation, and reporting setup. This role will play a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making across the business by ensuring data is well-structured, accurate, and accessible via Power BI dashboards.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage data pipelines to support business reporting and analytics.
- Set up and manage the transfer of data between different databases and systems.
- Build and maintain robust, scalable database structures and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver Power BI dashboards that meet business needs.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all systems.
- Optimise database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues as they arise.
- Support the team with ad hoc queries and technical data support.
About You
- Experience working in infrastructure or engineering environments.
- Proven experience in database management, including setup, migration, and integration across systems.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Experience with Power BI including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard/report creation.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and scripting (e.g., Python, SSIS, Azure Data Factory) is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and data architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
