The Project:

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role:

The Governance and Legal Assistant provides essential support to the Governance and Legal Manager in ensuring the effective operation of the Alliance’s governance and legal processes. This role assists in the coordination of governance activities, supports compliance and legal administration, and helps maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

The Governance and Legal Assistant plays a key part in ensuring the Alliance meets its obligations under the Project Alliance Agreement (PAA), governance principles, and relevant legislation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the monitoring of compliance with Alliance governance requirements, best practices, and legal standards.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, preparation, and distribution of ALT and AMT meeting documentation.
  • Support the Governance and Legal Manager in providing legal administration, including document management and filing.
  • Assist in the coordination of internal and external legal counsel, including tracking requests and responses.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (ALT, AMT, and other project teams) to facilitate the flow of governance and legal information.

About You:

  • Experience in a governance, legal, or compliance support role (desirable).
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
