The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.
The Role
As a Junior Cost Controller, you willcontrol the finance and accounting methods, practices and procedures of projects and/or the organisation. Prepare appropriate financial assessment, accounting records, reports and other information, allowing senior management to make informed business decisions and thereby improve the organisation’ profitability
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist Cost Controllers in analysing and interpreting statistical and accounting data for management decision-making.
- Compile monthly project reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Review and analyse operating results, costs, budgets, and operating policies, including capital asset and maintenance budgets.
- Support the development and implementation of financial policies and plans.
- Monitor outstanding debtors and assist Project Managers in resolving issues.
- Audit project wage employee remuneration, including timesheets.
- Compile and review forecast information to assess the final financial position of projects.
About you:
- CPA or equivalent tertiary accounting qualification.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce/Statistics, or a relevant discipline.
- 1-3 years’ experience, preferably in construction, mining, or defence.
- Familiarity with databases and basic computer literacy skills.
