The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.
The Role
The Lean Manager will lead continuous improvement initiatives across the T2D project, applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and support project transformation. Reporting to the Project Controls Director, the role is responsible for leading a Lean team, conducting root cause analysis, developing training programs, establishing KPIs, and mentoring teams on Lean principles. This position plays a key role in driving performance, innovation, and best practice across the Alliance
Role and Responsibilities

Lead the Lean team and deliver transformation initiatives aligned with project objectives.

Drive continuous improvement across project functions using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Facilitate root cause analysis and Kaizen events to resolve operational challenges.

Develop and implement Lean training programs to upskill teams and support cultural change.

Establish and monitor KPIs to track project performance and guide improvement efforts.

Research and assess best practices and technologies for potential implementation on the project.
About You

Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related field.

Minimum 6 years’ experience applying Lean principles in construction, operations, or manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of Lean tools (VSM, TPM, SMED, 7 Wastes) and Industrial Engineering methods.

Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement experience in cross-functional environments.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and confident in data analysis.

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
