The Project
The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.
The Role
The M&E Quality Manager will lead and manage the quality assurance activities for mechanical and electrical works across the project reporting to the Quality Director (Project Quality Representative).
This role is critical in ensuring all M&E systems are delivered in compliance with contractual requirements, Australian Standards, and the quality management manual.
The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, suppliers/subcontractors, the construction verifier and the client to drive quality excellence from installation through to commissioning and handover, ensuring systems are delivered to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the M&E Quality Management Plan
- Oversee development of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs) and Inspection Test Checklists (ITCs)
- Monitor site works to ensure compliance with requirements
- Conduct internal and external quality audits and inspections to monitor c
- Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Review and approve supplier/subcontractor quality documentation
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover deliverables
- Maintain quality registers, reports, and certification records
- Provide leadership and mentoring on quality systems and processes
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities
About You
- Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering discipline
- Proven experience in M&E quality management within large infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and project quality systems
- Solid understanding of Australian Standards and regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
