The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Methods Engineer to join our engineering division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in tunnelling or large-scale construction projects.

 

This role involves developing construction methods that are practical, effective, efficient, and economical, to meet client and company requirements based on available information (e.g., site conditions), design, legal requirements, specifications, standards, and codes.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Participate in technical studies for different construction solutions for the structure.
  • Set the execution construction methods.
  • Carry out studies regarding site installations and lifting equipment.
  • Determine plant resources needed for the works.
  • Provide monitoring and inspection of manufacturers of special plant/equipment: consultation, ordering, checking the calculation notes and fabrication drawings, acceptance in factory, dummy assembly, packaging.
  • Manage Methods drafters.

About you

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in tunnel construction or civil construction for a contractor or for a design consultant.
  • Understanding of construction methods.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Coordination and negotiation skills.
  • Technical minded.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
