The Project:

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and support on end-to-end payroll processes for a large, EA-based 1,000-strong workforce.
  • Accurately interpret timesheets and award conditions to ensure compliance with industrial instruments.
  • Support the weekly payroll processing for a large, site-based workforce.
  • Interpret EBAs and advise on complex project-based payroll conditions including allowances, overtime, and entitlements.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records in line with changes to awards, EA provisions, and legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with HR and Finance teams to ensure data and process alignment.
  • Assist in resolving payroll queries efficiently, ensuring a high standard of service to employees.

About You:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience supporting or advising on high-volume, EA-based payroll processes.
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment awards, enterprise agreements, and Fair Work requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the full payroll cycle and relevant legislative requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software systems (e.g. Kronos, Dayforce) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • High level of discretion, accuracy, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
