The Project:

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role:

As the Procurement Manager on T2D, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating end-to-end project procurement activities, ensuring value for money, best outcomes, and a high performing team.

 

Reporting to the Procurement Director, your role will be to manage specific categories or large procurement packages and will see you work closely with the commercial and legal teams to ensure high-performing supplier partnerships and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Directly manage procurement packages from prequalification through to contract award.
  • Lead and develop contractual excellence by ensuring effective, sustainable and high performing service delivery
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with project governance, reporting and auditing requirements by developing or implementing policies and procedures where required.
  • Identify and mitigate risks by collaborating with the wider project management team
  • Encourage positive project values including Integrity, Excellence, Care and Accountability.
  • Develop and mentor the procurement staff to ensure personal growth and project success.

About You:

As a values-driven leader with sharp commercial and technical acumen, you will have demonstrated experience in driving procurement activities on large scale construction, mining or oil & gas projects. 

 

Your demonstrated track record in fast paced and purpose led procurement ensures you are focused on collaborative and sustainable long-term outcomes.

 

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally within procurement, commerce, engineering or business.
  • Significant demonstrated experience in major projects.
  • A proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies and value for money outcomes.
  • Clear understanding of contractual governance, probity and regulatory compliance
