The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.

The Role

The Project Manager - Buildings, oversees the design, construction, and delivery, of all buildings (MOC's) on the T2D alliance. As the PM for buildings you will be responsible for managing the design, procurement, and installation of 4 MOC’s buildings and the mid-point substation on the T2D project, ensuring completion to the highest standards.

 

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate strong leadership in driving project execution, ensuring quality, managing budgets, and leading your team to deliver project objectives within the designated timelines.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Oversee project planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring all project phases are well-coordinated and integrated.
  • Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within forecasted costs. 
  • Manage all engineering aspects of the project scope during the design phase, ensuring the development of design deliverables.
  • Prepare and analyse RFQ documents, manage the procurement process, and negotiate contracts.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to safeguard program, budget, and quality.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear and effective communication. 

About you

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry
  • Relevant certifications and licenses as required by industry standards and regulations
  • Proven skills in Cost Control, Planning, and Quality Management.
