The Project:

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role:

The Quality Manager, reporting to the Technical and Completions Director, will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality assurance program for the project. This role ensures all activities comply with statutory regulations and contractual quality requirements.

 

The Quality Manager will work closely with project teams to embed quality standards and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of the Quality Management System on the project in support of quality objectives and targets.
  • Ensure that the project conforms with ISO and AS/NZS regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Identify, manage, and monitor quality objectives, requirements, risks, and issues that may impact successful project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support to project leadership to foster a quality culture and drive business improvement.
  • Implement the Project Audit Schedule and prepare audit reports with recommendations to rectify non-compliance.
  • Provide technical quality expertise for the project and ensure robust risk management processes are in place.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to quality staff to build capability and ensure consistent quality assurance practices.

About You:

  • Advanced Diploma or Lead Auditor Qualification in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction, Quality or Project Management
  • 8-10 years' experience in a quality management role
  • QA experience gained with the construction, transport, or related industries
  • Experience in developing and managing project QA management systems
