The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.

The role

  • Review existing reports, registers, and proposed scope related to contamination.
  • Lead spoil classification and disposal management
  • Scope and coordinate all requirements for contamination reuse and disposal.
  • Conduct additional site contamination investigations, modelling, monitoring, or design to confirm design assumptions for completing the Works and Temporary Works.
  • Obtain and comply with any necessary approvals required to complete the Works and Temporary Works.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and stakeholders to ensure contamination management activities are effectively implemented.
  • Prepare reports, ensuring they are written, signed, or endorsed by a certified site contamination practitioner, for investigations that require submission of documentation to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
  • Stay updated with relevant regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in contamination management.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on contamination assessment, management, and reuse strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Spoil Management Team to develop and implement contamination management plans.
  • Other items detailed in the attached COURS register.

In addition, you will bring to the team:

  • Previous experience managing the contamination / environmental deliverables on infrastructure, resource, or construction projects
  • Extensive knowledge of spoil and groundwater contamination.  
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, Science, Environmental, Urban Planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
