The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.
The Role
We are seeking a Communications Advisor to join our communications and media team. This role will be responsible for developing communications plans across a number of Alliance disciplines.
The role will quickly identify opportunities, milestones, risks, mitigations and solutions to business needs and develop comprehensive communication strategies with the knowledge and experience to deploy these on behalf of and/or in collaboration with the relevant business areas.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication strategies and plans to support health and wellbeing, safety, and sustainability initiatives, outreach activities and other project disciplines in the Alliance
- Engage with internal stakeholders and teams to ensure alignment and support for communication efforts
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and initiatives
- Provide guidance and support on communication best practices
- Measures and reports on the effectiveness of communication activities and channels to help improve short and long term planning, strategies and tactics
- Provides advice, recommendations and practical assistance to business areas to deliver high-quality communication activities that support business projects, initiatives, products and services and assist in the resolution of complex or sensitive matters
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a communications role, preferably within the infrastructure sector
- Proven experience in a similar role within the infrastructure, transport and construction sector is preferred
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies and plans
- Experience working in a large, complex organisation, including managing communication with an on-site workforce
