The Project:

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role:

The Senior Contract Administrator is responsible for leading the commercial and contractual management of project subcontracts, ensuring contract compliance, financial performance, effective risk management, and alignment with project objectives. This role provides expert commercial guidance, oversees contract administration processes, manages subcontracting and supports the Commercial Manager in delivering strong project governance and commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective and efficient commercial, contractual, and financial practices are maintained
  • Clearly report and communicate key commercial matters including change control, variations, disputes, risks, and any other emerging issues
  • Effectively manage the administration subcontracts
  • Support the Commercial Manager and Project Manager with end of month commercial reporting
  • Provide mentoring, and guidance to junior commercial staff and site administrators.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with contract requirements and assist delivery team with procurement related activities

 

 

About You:

  • Experienced commercial or contract professional with tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Law, QS, Construction Management, etc.)
  • 5+ years’ experience in contract administration on major infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of complex contracts, commercial governance, and procurement requirements
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise in fast‑paced environments; strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving capability, able to interpret contract obligations and assess risks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and confident using project systems such as Aconex, SAP, PPW, and JDE
