The Project:
The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of payroll services across the T2D project workforce.
You will provide senior-level payroll expertise, ensure legislative compliance, manage reconciliations and reporting requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement within a major infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing using Chris21 and SuccessFactors
- Processing terminations, redundancies, backpays and overpayments
- Calculating redundancy estimates
- Managing and maintaining the overpayment register and recovery processes
- Performing monthly reconciliations including superannuation, deductions and pay runs
- Processing and reconciling Smart Salary payments
- Running superannuation reports (including default fund reporting)
- Ensuring compliance with tax, superannuation and legislative requirements
- Processing employee updates including time and attendance records (Kronos or similar systems)
- Supporting audits and responding to regulatory requirements
- Participating in UAT testing and payroll-related system projects
- Providing backup support to Payroll Advisors as required
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ payroll experience within a medium to large organisation
- Proven end-to-end payroll processing experience using Chris21
- Experience working with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS systems
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation including Tax, Superannuation and Terminations
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to perform reconciliations and reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, project-based environment, with experience in construction or infrastructure highly regarded
