The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.

The Role

The Temporary Works Coordinator will coordinate and manage all temporary works activities on site supporting the construction and supervision teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all temporary works design activities on the construction site
  • Ensure that all temporary works designs are compliant with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Liaise with design and construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders throughout temporary works design development
  • Review and approve temporary works designs and ensure they meet project requirements
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination of temporary works activities
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures for temporary works
  • Inspect temporary works construction and release hold points validating compliance with the design where appropriate
  • Monitor the installation, use, and dismantling of temporary works to ensure compliance with approved designs and safe working practices
  • Provide technical advice and support to project teams regarding temporary works
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including records of temporary works activities and compliance

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
  • Diploma of Project Management in Engineering Science, Building, Construction or equivalent
  • Proven industry experience, preferably in the Adelaide environment/ market
  • Technical understanding of temp work activities
  • Sub-contractor management experience including scope of works creation and tendering preferable
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with site staff and stakeholders.
