The Project

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role

As a Sustainability Coordinator, you'll support the delivery of sustainability initiatives across a major infrastructure project. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll help embed sustainable practices into project delivery through reporting, compliance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, while developing your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives across design and construction activities.
• Assist with sustainability reporting, data collection and performance monitoring.
• Contribute to sustainability rating submissions, including IS Rating and Green Star where applicable.
• Coordinate sustainability documentation and maintain accurate project records.
• Engage with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to promote sustainable outcomes.
• Assist with environmental compliance, audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support the delivery of sustainability training, inductions and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor sustainability performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide administrative and technical support to the Sustainability team as required.
• Promote a positive culture of health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainability across the project.

About You

• Degree (or nearing completion) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Passion for sustainability and improving environmental outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to build positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Proactive, adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic project environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Previous exposure to construction, infrastructure or environmental management is advantageous but not essential.
