The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.

The Role

As a Tunnel Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our tunnelling operations. You will be responsible for conducting detailed surveys, analysing data, and providing critical insights that guide the construction process.

 

Your expertise will be instrumental in achieving the precise alignment and positioning of tunnels, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety

Key responsibilities:

  • Establishing and maintaining precise survey control points to support tunneling activities
  • Maintaining the TBM guidance system to ensure accurate machine navigation and alignment during operation
  • Conducting TBM position check, laser direction check & troubleshooting for any issues related to the guidance system
  • Conducting as-built record surveys & producing reports for the TBM navigation & ring-built information
  • Performing regular in-tunnel monitoring & providing timely reports as per project requirements
  • Collaborating closely with construction & engineering teams to provide precise set-out surveys and support construction activities
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols during survey operations
  • Maintaining meticulous records and documentation of survey findings, analyses, and progress reports
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that may arise during survey operations

About you

  • Proven experience in tunnel surveying or related construction surveying roles.
  • Diploma or degree in surveying /engineering
  • Proficiency in 12D model & synergy
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and quality standards.
