The Project:

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role:

The Wellbeing Advisor will play a key role in supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across the project. The Wellbeing Advisor is responsible for developing and implementing proactive health and wellbeing strategies.

 

Working closely with workers, site teams, and medical providers, the role ensures compliance with legislative and project standards while fostering a culture of care, resilience and continuous improvement in workplace health and wellbeing practices. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of health, and wellbeing initiatives to foster a safe and supportive workplace
  • Promote wellbeing and develop initiatives to demonstrate legislative compliance and best practices
  • Perform all duties in accordance with WHS legislation, the Health and Safety Management Plan, and other standards
  • Develop and maintain psychosocial Risk Register including supporting regular reviews
  • Initiate a Wellbeing Committee and promote best practices across all sites
  • Assist in the review, communication, and application of Wellbeing Strategy and associated campaigns to ensure compliance with legislative, accreditation, and corporate requirement

 

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma, or approved equivalent in health and safety or other health-related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to assist in interpreting and applying legislative standards and guidelines as they apply to psychosocial hazards
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to lead, persuade, negotiate, consult with, and provide advice on workers health management and wellbeing issues
