The Project

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role

As an Electrical Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of electrical works across active construction areas. Working within a multidisciplinary project environment, you will coordinate onsite activities, manage subcontract partners and ensure works are delivered in accordance with design, program, safety and quality requirements.

 

You will act as the critical link between engineering, supervision and delivery teams ensuring electrical installations progress smoothly while proactively identifying risks, resolving site challenges and maintaining strong documentation and compliance practices.

 

This role suits an engineer who enjoys being onsite, solving problems in real time and contributing to the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily electrical construction activities across site work fronts
  • Manage subcontractor performance, productivity and compliance with project requirements
  • Prepare, review and maintain site documentation including ITPs, SWMS, permits, work packs and inspection records
  • Monitor progress against construction programs and support short-term planning activities
  • Identify, escalate and resolve site issues as they arise to minimise impacts to safety, quality and schedule
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Support inspections, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems
  • Liaise closely with Project Engineers, Superintendents, design teams and stakeholders to drive efficient project delivery

About You

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience working in construction, infrastructure or major project environments
  • Demonstrated subcontractor coordination and onsite delivery experience
  • Understanding of electrical installations, testing and commissioning practices
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator able to engage effectively with site teams and stakeholders
  • Strong commitment to safety leadership, teamwork and continuous improvement
