The Project

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role

As a Payroll Administrator, you will support the accurate and timely delivery of weekly payroll for a diverse construction workforce. This role requires proven experience in  processing weekly payroll with a high volume of employees, a strong understanding of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements and exceptional attention to detail.

You will play a key role in ensuring payroll compliance, accuracy, and confidence across one of South Australia’s most complex infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for the diverse construction workforce in line with project deadlines
  • Accurately interpret and apply EBAs, awards, and site-specific agreements
  • Review timesheets, allowances, overtime, penalties, and leave entitlements
  • Ensure payroll data integrity with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting requirements
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and project stakeholders
  • Maintain compliance with Fair Work, taxation, and project governance requirements

About You

  • Demonstrated experience processing weekly payroll in construction, manufacturing, trades and service industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of EBAs and industrial instruments
  • Proficiency in payroll software system Dayforce (advantageous)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume payroll
  • Confident interpreting timesheets, allowances, and complex pay conditions
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, confidential approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment
