The Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has successfully secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project, career stability and the opportunity for career progression and development.

The Role

This is a key leadership role responsible for establishing and managing planning processes, developing detailed programs, and monitoring performance across the full project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.

You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to embed best-practice planning, drive cost and schedule certainty, and support strategic decision-making across all phases of project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project planning strategies, controls, and reporting frameworks.

  • Prepare and manage detailed programs across the full project lifecycle.

  • Lead planning activities, ensuring integration with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

  • Monitor performance and provide early identification of risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.

  • Deliver accurate time, cost, and resource forecasts through earned value and schedule analysis.

  • Support and mentor planning staff; oversee subcontractor planning performance.

  • Promote best practices in planning, risk management, and digital tools such as Primavera P6, 4D modelling, and BIM.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • At least 8 years of experience in planning, project controls, and construction delivery.

  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, with working knowledge of earned value, cost control, and forecasting tools.

  • Experience leading planning on complex infrastructure projects and working across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and advise project leaders.

  • Ideally, familiarity with 4D modelling, BIM, schedule risk analysis, and digital engineering tools.
