The Project

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

 

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

 

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031.  The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.

The Role

 

As a Training Advisor, you will lead the design, coordination and delivery of high-quality training initiatives across the T2D Project.

 

You will be responsible for implementing the Project Training Management Plan and ensuring our workforce is equipped with the skills, knowledge and capability to meet both current and future business needs. Acting as the central point of contact for all induction, training and competency requirements, you will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors and training providers to deliver consistent, compliant and effective learning solutions.

 

This role plays a key part in supporting workforce capability, safety and performance, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the success of a major infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate and deliver training and development programs in line with the Project Training Management Plan.

  • Manage and deliver employee inductions, competency assessments and compliance training.

  • Develop high-quality learning materials and tailored training solutions.

  • Partner with Managers and stakeholders to identify capability gaps and workforce development needs.

  • Coordinate external training providers and monitor performance, quality and costs.

  • Facilitate workshops, presentations and on-site training sessions.

  • Monitor, evaluate and report on training outcomes and workforce participation targets.

  • Continuously review and improve training systems, processes and tools.

About You

  • Qualified in Education, Training, Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in Learning & Development, HR or training advisory roles.

  • Strong understanding of VET frameworks, AQTF and training systems.

  • Confident facilitator with strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Highly organised with strong project management and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in construction, engineering or similar technical environments (desirable).

  • Proactive, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement and professional development.
