About the role & project
Some responsibilities include
- Provide senior‑level advice, leadership, and guidance on rail safety systems, procedures, and compliance across the project.
- Lead the coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety practices for employees, contractors, and site visitors.
- Oversee the delivery of education, compliance, and rail safety awareness programs across the workforce.
- Lead and coordinate accredited training programs for HSE committee members, first aid officers, and rail‑specific safety roles.
- Plan, conduct, and report on health and safety audits, inspections, and assurance activities to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Proactively identify hazards and lead the development of rail‑focused risk mitigation and incident prevention initiatives.
- Provide strategic direction and support to the Project Leadership Team to embed effective safety training and safety leadership behaviours.
- Ensure the consistent implementation of occupational health and rail safety procedures in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
