About The Project
The Beveridge Intermodal project is a landmark freight and logistics development in Victoria, set to play a critical role in Australia’s national supply chain. Located in Melbourne’s north, this major infrastructure project will deliver an integrated intermodal terminal, connecting road and rail to improve freight efficiency, reduce congestion, and support long-term economic growth.
Delivered within a complex project environment, the works involve multidisciplinary interfaces across civil, rail systems, logistics, and operational stakeholders to create a nationally significant freight hub.
About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to support the delivery of Work Health and Safety outcomes across the Beveridge Intermodal project.
Reporting to the Safety Manager, this role plays a key part in implementing and maintaining best-practice safety systems and driving a strong, proactive safety culture. You will work closely with project leaders and site teams to ensure compliance, manage risk, and embed continuous improvement across all areas of delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice, coaching, and support on WHS practices across the project
- Implement and maintain safety management systems, policies, and procedures
- Support operational teams to meet legal, contractual, and compliance obligations
- Partner with leadership to deliver safety initiatives, programs, and capability uplift
- Lead or support incident investigations and ensure outcomes drive improvement
- Monitor, analyse, and report on safety performance, risks, and trendsIdentify improvement opportunities and implement preventative measures
- Engage with stakeholders across site teams, contractors, and leadership
- Promote and embed a consistent, positive safety culture across the project
What We Are Looking For
- Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in construction, infrastructure, or high-risk environments
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, standards, and management systems
- Proven experience in monitoring, reporting, and improving safety performance
- Demonstrated capability in incident investigations and risk management
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety systems tools
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
