About the Project
John Holland is delivering Stage 1A of the multi-stage Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal project, a nationally significant development that will reshape Australia’s freight and logistics network.
Strategically located in Victoria to leverage key road and rail connections, the Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal will become a critical hub supporting the efficient movement of goods across domestic and global markets. Stage 1A represents the foundation of this long-term program, establishing core infrastructure, structures and civil works that will enable future expansion.
With its scale, complexity and long-term vision, this project offers the opportunity to contribute to a landmark piece of infrastructure that will drive productivity, support regional growth and strengthen Australia’s supply chains for decades to come.
About the Role
As a Senior Structures Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of structural works across Stage 1A of the Beveridge Intermodal Freight Terminal.
This is a site-based leadership role, responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising a broad range of structural and civil elements within a complex, multi-disciplinary construction environment. You will work closely with project engineers, construction managers, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
This role offers the chance to be at the forefront of a transformational logistics project while leading teams and shaping outcomes on a major Tier 1 construction site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all structural construction activities, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule and budget.
- Manage and mentor supervisors, foremen and site crews to drive performance, capability and collaboration.
- Coordinate daily construction planning, sequencing and resourcing to optimise productivity and minimise disruption.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with design documentation, quality requirements and safety standards.
- Work closely with project management, engineering and commercial teams to monitor progress and address risks.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical and operational challenges on site.
- Champion John Holland’s safety culture, sustainability commitments and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in a supervisory role within large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.
- Strong background delivering structural works within complex construction environments.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors across multiple work fronts.
- Sound knowledge of safety legislation, quality systems and construction best practice.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Competency with construction management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s licence and flexibility to work on site as project requirements dictate.
