About the project:
John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the implementation of traffic management works is carried out within specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards
- Conduct and administer job planning and programming with minimal disruption to the surrounding road network for works that may include short range and intermediate activities
- Undertake minor adjustments on site and monitor these recommended changes to the traffic management plans to increase the ease and convenience of required works
- Exercise professional judgement in resolving traffic management issues, i.e. local council, local residents, road users, etc.
- Develop traffic management plans for all project work phases ensuring the plans are in accordance with the relevant Acts, Standards and Guidelines
- Implement and communicate risk controls and actions involved in the delivery and implementation of the works to be undertaken from a traffic prospective
- Delivery of temporary and permanent signage and pavement marking packages.
- Tracking and forecasting costs
About you:
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience on tier 1 projects excess of $100M
- Work zone traffic management qualifications or ability to obtain them
- Keen to learn and upskill within the projects duration, seeking career progression to step up
- Experience booking traffic management crews
- Submission of TMR Roadworks Permits
- Read and interpret Traffic Guidance Schemes
- High level understanding of construction methodologies and logistics within temporary traffic management space
