About the Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3

John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Brief all affected personnel about each Traffic Management Plan and then ensure its correct implementation
  • Provide compliance documentation and quality checklists as evidence of implementation and compliance with the approved Traffic Management Plan
  • Ensure that all traffic control personnel have undertaken the relevant training and are holders of appropriate certification to undertake traffic management duties
  • Attend regular meetings to ensure traffic management requirements are met
  • Implement the Traffic Management Plan and safe work procedures in the field, with a focus on the safety of personnel and the public
  • Work closely with the construction engineers to ensure that adequate resources are available and are used to undertake works in accordance with the construction program
  • Coordinate daily activities with the wider delivery team and Traffic Management Contractors.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An intimate understanding of the necessary resources required to meet both short-term and long-term traffic management goals
  • Previous experience in the coordination of Traffic Control Subcontracts
  • Current TMI & TMD qualifications (preferred)
  • Understanding of the permitting process for TMP/TGS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • 5+ years' experience working in a similar role
