The Opportunity:
We’re looking for an Environmental Advisor to join our high-performing team on the M7–M12 Integration Project, delivered in partnership with Transurban and Transport for NSW. This major project will improve travel times, ease congestion, and provide direct access to key commercial and residential hubs, including the new Western Sydney International Airport. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the project complies with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations, contractual requirements, and John Holland's Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
- Conduct inspections, monitor construction impacts, and provide advice to identify and manage environmental risks effectively.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of project environmental management systems, including record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
- Provide consistent environmental guidance to internal teams, engage with government bodies and professional organisations, and communicate changes in legal and regulatory requirements to management.
- Support environmental inductions and training.
- Initiate local environment improvement projects and maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant legal, regulatory, and company environmental standards.
- Perform all responsibilities in alignment with John Holland's policies, processes, systems, and procedures.
About You:
- 3-5 years of experience in an Environment role.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Strong communication skills to proactively engage with multiple stakeholders
- A demonstrated passion for sustainable practices and innovative environmental solutions.
