About The Project
John Holland is delighted to have been selected to deliver the M7 - M12 Interchange, which includes widening the M7 between the M5 at Prestons and Richmond Rd at Oakhurst, and building a new interchange between the M7 and M12 and an upgrade to Elizabeth Drive to connect it to the M12.
This major project will significantly improve travel times and road congestion for residents and improve freight movement throughout Western Sydney. The project will integrate the M7 with the new M12, a toll-free motorway connecting travellers to the new Western Sydney International Airport.
About The Role
In this role, you will provide HR support and guidance to the project team, assisting with routine people management activities. Reporting to the People Manager, you will become part of a knowledgeable and collaborative People team that values a supportive culture and is committed to achieving success together.
People Advisor - Key Responsibilities:
Deliver prompt, accurate, and practical support to managers and employees on People Management queries and issues.
Assist with project workforce planning by reviewing staff histograms in collaboration with Construction Leads and making necessary updates.
Facilitate and support the redeployment process for all staff and workforce, working closely with Business Unit People Teams to identify opportunities.
Lead and support the annual Performance Review processes and Talent Mapping initiatives.
Contribute to the implementation of programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement, wellbeing, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Manage general people-related issues through end-to-end case management.

To be successful in this key role, you must have;
TAFE certificate in HR, IR/ER or bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, Psychology or other associated disciplines.
Demonstrated experience in a HR Advisor role or similar, preferably in the construction industry
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of national and state regulatory frameworks
Knowledge of employment legislation
Experience in HR project work, leading an initiative or desired outcome
Strong interpersonal skills and social awareness with proven stakeholder management experience
