About The Project

 

The M7-M12 Integration project located in Western Sydney is delivering the connection between the new toll-free M12 Motorway and the existing M7 Motorway; a new connection between the M12 and Elizabeth Drive, and the realignment of Wallgrove and Cecil Roads at Cecil Park. A new lane will also be added in each direction within the existing median of the M7 between the M5 and Richmond Road. The M7-M12 project supports future development growth in Western Sydney by improving travel times and congestion. Once complete, the project will provide direct access to commercial and residential hubs, and the new Western Sydney International Airport.

About the Role

 

John Holland's M7/M12 project are requiring a safety coordinator to join the team, the main responsibilities are listed below but not limited to: 

 

  • Monitor compliance with the safety systems and procedures within the workplace and provide operational support to the project management team.
  • Research and assist with the development of safety policies & procedures specific to the project.
  • Administer safety programs for project employees.
  • Assist with workers compensation claims and rehabilitation processes. Including injury management.
  • Assist with conducting incident and accident investigations that may require litigation.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas.
  • Develops and drives the monthly KPI activity tracker. Works with Project Manager to identify upcoming high-risk work and implements an inspection schedule to align with these works.
  • Establish positive working relationships with project personnel and raise awareness of safety risks.
  • Assist in the development of communications tools and records for all project safety meetings.
  • Provides information and feedback to the Project team in relation to safety performance and statistics.
  • Builds positive relationships with Contractors, field staff and Client reps.
  • Partakes in safety/risk workshops to ensure safety risks are identified and assessed in planning stages.
  • Informs the team about GMR controls that need to be in place prior to activities commencing.
  • Review, inspect and monitor all site safety documentation regularly to ensure compliance and assists the team with updates where requires
  • Drives the weekly toolbox agenda and created a roster of presenters to ensure all members of the team are actively involved.

  • Base salary for this role starts from, $74,345.62
