About The Role

 

Are you a detail-oriented Surveyor ready to make your mark on one of Sydney's most significant infrastructure projects? Join us at John Holland on the M7/M12 Integration project, where your technical expertise and precision will contribute to the development of essential transport links for Western Sydney.

 

Lead and manage a team of contracted surveyors to achieve project objectives and maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with the M7M12 Integration project specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

  • Manage and deliver Survey solutions and technologies, ensuring compliance with John Holland standards and policies, and provide technical guidance on survey practices to support project objectives.
  • Interface with stakeholders, including designers and clients, to promote survey capabilities and foster collaborative relationships, while also providing expert advice on technical surveying requirements.
  • Oversee survey data management activities, including the validation and manipulation of information, and support project controls and estimation teams with accurate data.
  • Manage subcontractors, including mentoring and leading a team of surveyors, to cultivate a culture of professionalism and high performance within the survey strategy framework.
  • Implement and integrate Digital Engineering & GIS/Geospatial functions, as well as support Machine Control and Guidance systems, to enhance surveying efficiency and accuracy.
  • Uphold and exemplify John Holland's code of business conduct, leading by example to instil a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour within the team of contractors.

 

What You will Need 

 

  • A Tertiary qualification in Surveying and Spatial Science or a related field.
  • A track record of excellence with 5-10 years of structures experience, managing survey functions on large multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Expertise in systems such as 12D, 12D Synergy, CAD, and Leica Survey Equipment
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to analyse complex data, draw conclusions, and make informed recommendations to the senior management team.
