About Inland Rail
Inland Rail is transforming how goods are moved around Australia, connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This 1,700km fast freight backbone will complete our national freight network – better connecting producers to markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses, industries and communities.

The Illabo to Stockinbingal project is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. This new section of rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.

This role is based at our site office in Cootamundra, but may require some travel to our Mascot offices in the lead up to construction commencing in September 2025.

 

What is needed?

As a People Coordinator at John Holland, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR team and ensuring the smooth running of various HR functions. You will be responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with HR administration, and providing support on employee relations matters. Additionally, you will contribute to HR projects and initiatives, collaborate with colleagues, and help create a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Support all facets of the employee lifecycle to contribute to a positive and engaging employee experience
-Prepare people related documents, presentations and data for employees and managers
-Support leaders in employee relations matters
-Support the redeployment and internal mobility process for employees
-Engage/liaise with project teams and provide ad hoc HR support as required

 

To be the successful candidate:

-Degree qualified, min 2 years experience in HR or related field. 
-Must be computer literate, and be able to learn our systems.
-Able to work in a team and also independently. 
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
-Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities
