About The Project

 

John Holland has recently been awarded the Illabo to Stockinbingal section of Inland Rail in NSW. The Illabo to Stockinbingal section is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. It will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.
Illabo to Stockinbingal is a DIDO Project, accommodation is provided on the 2:1 (2 weeks on / 1 week off) roster. 
If you move to within an hour of Stockinbingal / Cootamundra, the Project will contribute (in line with the relocation policy) towards your relocation. 

About The Role

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to work on our Illabo to Stockinbingal project (I2S) willing to explore a new opportunity in regional NSW. 

 

This role's key purpose is oversee and coordinate the construction on the project reporting in the Senior Project Engineer .

 

This role will be a Monday-Friday Sydney-based role until construction commences in July. The role will then be a 2:1 Roster based on site in Stockinbingal.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Management of the civil construction scope of works for projects and ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards
Provide technical guidance to project team to ensure compliance with construction specifications and standards
Leading and coordination of subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment in construction planning and objectives
Maintaining project documentation related to scope of works, including quality documentation, progress reports, risk assessments and plans
Reporting to management on the progress and status of projects.
 

 

About You:
 

Minimum Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural)
3-4 years experience in construction, preferably in the Civil engineering sector. 
Knowledge of civil construction standards, codes and regulations
Experience with scoping, tendering, engagement and site management of civil subcontractors
Strong communication and organisational skills. Able to work and integrate into a team.
Experience on complex Rail/Infrastructure projects
Willing to DIDO  
Be open to working a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off)
Or, willing to relocate yourself within an hour’s commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.
