About The Project

 

John Holland has recently been awarded the Illabo to Stockinbingal section of Inland Rail in NSW. The Illabo to Stockinbingal section is about 39km of new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. It will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.
Illabo to Stockinbingal is a DIDO Project, accommodation is provided on the 2:1 (2 weeks on / 1 week off) roster. 
If you move to within an hour of Stockinbingal / Cootamundra, the Project will contribute (in line with the relocation policy) towards your relocation. 

About The Role

 

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring logistics operations are efficient, safe and effective.  While providing clear leadership and direction for their logistics team. 

 

Your key responsibilities include;
 

Planning and managing logistics, yard, laydown, transportation, and customer relationships
Direct management of relevant logistics staff, access team and yard staff members
Working closely with project supervisors and to ensure plant, equipment and received materials are available to suit programmed works and meet necessary specifications.
Working with Materials Controls team to Implement and manage accurate stock control systems.
Working with Plant Superintendent to ensure all project plant and equipment is safely maintained and transported while in and around project yards and lay downs.
Ensure supplied goods and services conform to project Safety and Environmental requirements.
Ensure high standards in Health, Safety and Environment management are promoted and enforced within the project yard area.
Timekeeping, project diaries to allocate daily work scopes to relevant project cost codes.
Continuous improvements that can be made within the project logistics space / laydown areas.

 

About You:

 

Logistics and materials management systems, e.g., Maximo, SAP, JD Edwards.
Logistics process and procedure.
Previous operational experience in logistics operations.
Materials coordination experience in civils construction projects
Chain of responsibility (COR)
NHV regulations
Load restraint
Freight forwarding
