About you and the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Relations (IR) Advisor to play a pivotal role in supporting our NWPA Victorian Projects. Based in our Melbourne Project office in the Northern Suburbs. You will take charge of developing and executing effective IR strategies across multiple Projects, while driving the overall IR capability within our teams.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Development and implement (IR) strategies which enable Projects to plan, win and deliver work.
  • Provide strategic advice on employment and industrial relations matters to Project Managers.
  • Coach and build the capacity of leaders to manage effective IR.
  • Collaborate with National / Regional IR Manager to develop and implement organisational IR strategies
  • Support complex IR / ER matters in collaboration with our National Advisory Service team.
  • Undertake complex investigations as required.
  • Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations as required

To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • 5+ years in a similar position, preferably in Victoria working on complex Construction Projects
  • Experience providing enterprise agreement interpretation and industrial relations advice
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships and managing stakeholders including Unions
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Victorian IR environment and the key stakeholders.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the relevant Employment Legislation
  • Tertiary qualification in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Employee Relations or similar
