About The Project
John Holland, Stantec and KBR are partnering with Sydney Water in an Alliance to deliver the North-West Treatment Hub – a brownfield treatment program that will commence with a $500 million upgrade of Rouse Hill and Riverstone wastewater treatment facilities. The project will achieve circular economy outcomes, increasing recycled water production, improving the quality of wastewater byproducts for reuse, and leveraging innovative treatment technologies that reduce carbon footprint. Upgrades will support the treatment of a further 45 megalitres of wastewater each day, to cater for growing northwest communities. The Project will deliver a new state-of-the-art biosolids facility at Riverstone, with new technology to improve the quality of wastewater byproducts.
About The Role
This role will provide strategic and operational support to the Alliance Management team and specifically the NWTH project, which will include providing leadership and guidance relating to all human resource matters such as recruitment, training and development, performance management industrial relations, payroll, and other HR matters.
This role will also lead the development and implementation of the people strategy on the project, establishing and embedding of policies. this role will be based in our Milsons Point office with the project sites being based in Rouse Hill and Riverstone NSW.
Accountabilities will include but not limited to:
- Contribute to the development of human resource strategies, policies and procedures
- Develop project HR plans to achieve the objectives set out in the JHG business framework
- Support senior management in the development of business plans in alignment with group initiatives
- Develop and implement a framework for ensuring that the project teams has a culture of high performance
- Support the project management team and projects by managing key HR deliverables including succession planning, employee engagement, diversity and performance management
- Provide functional management in the areas of redundancy, termination and remuneration
- Support line managers as required through the resourcing process
- Support compliance and governance processes and practices
- Management of Aboriginal Engagement
- Ensure provision of required new business documentation and support for tenders
- Develop and implement appropriate employee engagement plans
- Assist in the development of appropriate policies and procedures
- Manage the mobilisation and demobilisation of projects and the utilisation of project operational resources
- Promote continual professional development and facilitating succession planning
- Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems and procedures.
