About The Project

 

John Holland, Stantec and KBR are partnering with Sydney Water in an Alliance to deliver the North-West Treatment Hub – a brownfield treatment program that will commence with a $500 million upgrade of Rouse Hill and Riverstone wastewater treatment facilities. The project will achieve circular economy outcomes, increasing recycled water production, improving the quality of wastewater byproducts for reuse, and leveraging innovative treatment technologies that reduce carbon footprint. Upgrades will support the treatment of a further 45 megalitres of wastewater each day, to cater for growing northwest communities. The Project will deliver a new state-of-the-art biosolids facility at Riverstone, with new technology to improve the quality of wastewater byproducts.

About The Role

 

As a Mechanical Project Engineer you will be responsible to coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives. Working within our Mechanical team based in Rouse Hill, NSW.

 

Responsibilities of the role but not limited to:

 

  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the site manager or project manager
  • Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects
  • Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports
  • Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting compliance reporting

 

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience in delivering Australian water projects are an advantage but not essential.
  • Ideally, previous experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 Contractor
  • Skills in relevant computer software packages; Microsoft Suite etc. are essential. Experience with Aconex will be advantageous.
