About The Project

 

John Holland, Stantec and KBR are partnering with Sydney Water in an Alliance to deliver the North-West Treatment Hub – a brownfield treatment program that will commence with a $500 million upgrade of Rouse Hill and Riverstone wastewater treatment facilities. The project will achieve circular economy outcomes, increasing recycled water production, improving the quality of wastewater byproducts for reuse, and leveraging innovative treatment technologies that reduce carbon footprint. Upgrades will support the treatment of a further 45 megalitres of wastewater each day, to cater for growing northwest communities. The Project will deliver a new state-of-the-art biosolids facility at Riverstone, with new technology to improve the quality of wastewater byproducts.
 

About The Role

 

This role will be engaged as the lead commercial resource on North West Treatment Hub Project,  managing both upstream and downstream commercial and claims issues, complex stakeholder relationships and a challenging completion requirements.
 
Your remit will add value to the project through proactive involvement in the management of procurement, cost management, revenue management and project reporting.

 

Key accountabilities for this role include:
 

  • Develop and mentor the commercial team to ensure that the commercial requirements of the project are successfully delivered.
  • Provide advice in commercial matters to project team as needed e.g. claims, contractual issues, contractual correspondence, disputes, preparing subcontract terms and conditions, and setting up administration procedures on and off site with accounting.
  • Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, including the establishment and implementation of earned value; take corrective action in line with authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the project.
  • Manage commercial issues, minor and major contract disputes and claims and report on issues to project and senior management.

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

 

  • Qualification in relevant field 
  • Advanced experience on large infrastructure projects within the construction industry working within a similar position.
