About the project:
A 30 ML/d seawater desalination plant will be delivered at Belmont South NSW, to provide weather independent supply to the community in the lower Hunter region.
Seen as one of the largest capital projects in the water sector in Hunter region, the community is expecting a sustainable outcome for the nature of a seawater desalination plant. It is also the first project in Hunter Water pursuing an IS Rating, as part of its Carbon Neutral Strategy by 2035.
About the role:
Our supervisors play a key role in managing on-site teams to execute specific scopes of work in alignment with project plans and specifications. Their focus is on ensuring efficient performance by adhering to detailed short-term programs and schedules, while also implementing robust safety, quality, and environmental controls on-site.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Tunnelling Supervisor to join the Belmont Desalination Project in Newcastle, NSW. The successful candidate will contribute to:
- Supervising Pipe Jacking and Mirco TBM Tunnel works
- Responsible for Health and Safety management of Tunnelling Crew
- Overseeing night shift production, crane operations, spoil separation and stockpiling and load out operations.
- Water Treatment knowledge also an advantage
- Duties will involve conducting daily Prestart, Permit to Tunnel, weekly Toolboxes and daily shift hand over
- Previous Tunnel Supervising experience required.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Newcastle, NSW, with relocation support available for the right candidate.
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
- Trade Qualification or relevant industry experience
- Construction experience in a similar role would be desired.
- Substantial industry experience in Trades and Construction
- Skilled in the review of design documents, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans
