Job Description

North Western Program Alliance consists of four partners, working as ‘one team’ collocated in the Alliance’s head and project offices. NWPA has a proven track record with the completion of three-level crossing removal projects, a Premium station rebuild and another project currently in delivery.


To drive effective management on the upcoming program of works, the Alliance is looking to add to its high calibre workforce to safely and efficiently deliver additional work packages and contribute to the ongoing growth of a skilled and inclusive local industry.   
An opportunity is now available for an experienced Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager to join our team and play a key role in the delivery of Victoria’s largest public transport infrastructure project.

We are looking for a Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager to join our fast-paced team working on level crossing removal projects.


Responsibilities of the role include:
•    Delivery of the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Management Plan
•    Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders and the community
•    Developing engagement plans for upcoming works
•    Planning and delivery of best‐practice community and stakeholder initiatives
•    Writing for a variety of communications channels and audiences
•    Responding to stakeholder and community inquiries
•    Identification of potential stakeholder and community issues, and development of effective management strategies including managing and minimising disruption to pedestrians, cyclists, public transport users, road users, adjoining businesses and residents.

To be successful in this key role, you must have: 
•    An appropriate tertiary qualification (in communications, public relations, media or public policy discipline or related fields), industry or other relevant experience, and
•    A reputation for successfully managing high profile strategic stakeholder relations issues within complex and sensitive major project environments.
