North Western Program Alliance consists of four partners, working as ‘one team’ collocated in the Alliance’s head and project offices. NWPA has a proven track record with the completion of three level crossing removal projects, a Premium station rebuild and another project currently in delivery.


To drive effective management on the upcoming program of works, the Alliance is currently going through a growth period and is looking to add to its high caliber workforce to safely and efficiently deliver additional work packages and contribute to the ongoing growth of a skilled and inclusive local industry. 


We are currently looking for a HR / ER Advisor with a “go getter attitude” who will enjoy working project based, in a fast-paced team working on level crossing removal projects, located in the North West. As this role will be hands on, the successful candidate will be someone who is keen to get involved and have a high attention to detail.


This role will be primarily based at site (Inner Northern suburb) and previous experience with right of entries will be highly regarded.


Responsibilities of the role include;
- Provide day to day support to project regarding all people matters, including but not limited to:
- Supporting project team with HR policy interpretations, pay queries, completion of employee movements, updates to reporting relationships;
- Investigations;
- Right of entry support to General superintendent / superintendents;
- Support the management of HRIS
- Maintain organisation chart for project
- Assist in onboarding of all new team members to project
- Supporting the induction of new team members to project
- Supporting reward and recognition initiatives to drive employee engagement
- Coordination of well-being initiatives for project particularly during occupations.
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation process
- Support Senior People Advisor as required.
- Day to day focus on supporting all operational HR activities of a project in delivery phase.
- Support Recruitment / Resource planning activities to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are achieved.
- Assist in identification, analysis and communication of potential resourcing issues / opportunities.

To be successful in this key role, you must have;
- Degree or higher in Business, Human Resource Management, Legal, Finance or other associated disciplines
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Human Resource role
- Knowledge of contractual and commercial awareness
- Knowledge of employment legislation, including government policy
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly excel
