Information Systems and Controls Manager, North Western Program Alliance

North Western Program Alliance consists of four partners, working as ‘one team’ collocated in the Alliance’s head and project offices. NWPA has a proven track record with the completion of three level crossing removal projects, a Premium station rebuild and another project currently in delivery.

To drive effective management on the upcoming program of works, the Alliance is looking to add to its high caliber workforce to safely and efficiently deliver additional work packages and contribute to the ongoing growth of a skilled and inclusive local industry.  

We are looking for a Information System and Controls manager to join our fast-paced team working on level crossing removal projects. As Information Systems and Controls manager you will plan and direct the digital information processing activities of the Alliance enabling excellence in program delivery. Coordinate the effective design, implementation (change management), integration and operation of Information Systems (IS) and Project Control applications.

Responsibilities of the role include:
­- Establish key performance metrics for ICT systems and regularly review performance to ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness.
­- Utilise data to develop and recommend ICT system improvements that will improve performance and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
­- Plan and coordinate all reviews/audits, feasibility studies and surveys of existing and proposed ICT systems and project control applications for agreement with senior management.
­- Guide the selection/modification, installation, integration and business change management for use of computing equipment and software.
­- Control and recommend operations and development budgets.
­- Control the security of information systems and data.
­- Establish and embed policies, systems and processes to support the effective and efficient service delivery

To be successful in this key role, you must have:
­- Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or relevant function
­- 5+ years management experience at a senior level
­- 8-10 years Management Information System (MIS) experience
­- Multi-discipline experience
­- Experience in leading project or specialist function activities
