Senior Contracts Administrator - NWPA

North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of four partners, working as ‘one team’. NWPA has a proven track record, having completed three level crossing removal projects, a Premium station rebuild and two projects currently in delivery phase.

Your new role will be located at our main project office in North Melbourne, very close to Macaulay Station. You will be employed by John Holland – the constructor partner of the Alliance.

We are currently looking for Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team working on the level crossing removal project, located in the North West.

Responsibilities of the role include;
- Drafting scopes of works and tender packages to accompany request for quotations issued to subcontractors
- Managing the review process to ensure the award of all subcontracts within the required timeframe and budget
-  Minimising subcontractor variation claims
- Assisting with the procurement and award of Works Packages, updating and maintaining various registers, administration of securities, distributing contractual correspondence
- Administering subcontracts and supply agreements including payments, variations, final claims etc
- Interpreting specifications and drawings so as to understand the scope of works for the project at Head Contract and Sub contract level
- Checking compliance and preparing reporting on commercial performance of the contract
- Routinely performing project financial reviews to include analysis of the budgets, cost / revenue, cost to complete, variations, progress and contractual claims and other indicators
- Assisting senior project staff with the internal and external monthly financial reports

To be successful in this key role, you must have:
- Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or other relevant discipline
- Proven experience with a top-tier or mid-tier building contractor delivering contract administration on commercial building construction projects $50m+
- Expertise in effectively managing and administering both the head contract and subcontracts throughout all phases of a project including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontract management , claims/variation processing, completion and close out
- Strong commercial, contractual and financial acumenProven ability to communicate effectively to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholders
- Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
