An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to join our Welshpool-based team.  

Responsibilities of the role include (but are by no means limited to);

•    Manage, co-ordinate, and lead an internal team of up to 20 tradespersons to safely execute works to the highest standard of workmanship within the Welshpool Rail Plant Workshop
•    Manage the implementation of site safety, quality and environment controls, identify and assess potential risks for the specific scope of work/s.
•    Responsible for delivering quality, reliable and presentable plant to internal stakeholders by meeting equipment manufacturers, regulatory requirements and internal maintenance plans
•    Manage and execute planned maintenance, breakdowns, workshop commissioning and calibration of plant 
•    Co-ordinate works and labour with the Field Service Maintenance Supervisor 
•    Responsible for effective processing of workorders, timesheets and other documentation for all supervised staff and equipment  
•    Lead morning prestart in conjunction with the Plant Safety Advisor and Plant Superintendent
•    Co-ordinate and manage sub-contractors and site visitors, ensuring adherence to site standards and procedures
•    Liaise with internal stakeholders to co-ordinate the mobilisation and demobilisation of plant and equipment to and from the Welshpool Rail Plant Workshop
•    Liaise with internal stakeholders on maintenance, technical and logistical matters.
•    Attend and contribute to weekly maintenance planning forecast meeting
•    Manage Apprentices and the ongoing requirements of their training program. 

To be successful in this key role, you must have;

•    Australian trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Trade
•    Maximo ERP system experience is highly desirable or experience with similar ERPs such as SAP, Pronto, Oracle etc
•    Rail Plant Equipment experience is highly desirable or relevant HME experience 
•    Technical competency and ability to read and understand schematics, drawings, engineering documentation etc
•    Minimum of 3 years previous supervisory experience in similar role and facilities
•    Basic computer literacy with Microsoft suite and OEM support software such as Link1, CatSIS etc
•    Certificate IV Frontline Management (Desirable not essential)
