About the Role


As one of our Iconic Infrastructure projects begins to ramp up in Sydney, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Digital Engineering (DE) / BIM Manager to join us.

Reporting into the Project Design Director, as the DE/BIM Manager on this major infrastructure project your role will be to Lead and Coordinate DE/ BIM Management activities by providing specialist DE solutions throughout the delivery phase of this iconic project based in Mascot, NSW. 


Responsibilities of the role include;

  • Plan and control the delivery of DE for the project.
  • Establish and implement DE solutions and workflows that support the project objectives and client outcomes.
  • Management of project information models for all disciplines, including but not limited to both Design and Construction phase works.
  • Deliver technical solutions that provide support to collaborative review, seeking and resolving issues through close interaction with project team members.
  • Perform DE Management and Coordination activities where required.
  • Assist project leadership team in implementation and execution digital strategy including new technologies
  • Act as an authority and provide technical guidance on the application DE practices.
  • Review and document design coordination conflicts.
  • Manage Digital Engineering practice where engaged to do so.
  • Schedule and facilitate coordination meetings along with project manager and/or design manager.
  • Meet with designers/stakeholders as required to facilitate DE practices.
  • Implement the project specific standards
  • Upskill project teams and them and demonstrating the value of DE to the project community
  • Carry out model validation checks, coordination reviews and liaise with third party model managers for resolutions
  • Facilitate delivery of federated model with hosted and linked data
  • Ensure that data exchange protocols are adhered to by the project team and liaise with project team on compliance issues.
  • Identify and keep record of BIM specific lessons learnt throughout the project to ensure future projects do not duplicate


To be successful in this key role, you must have;

  • Experience in managing / implementing DE processes on large multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Working knowledge an understanding in Design and Construction Management Practice, Process and Procedures
  • RMS project experience is desirable
  • Experience one of following design solutions, Autodesk Revit, Bentley Microstation, OpenRoads, OpenRail, Civil3D, 12d Model
  • Specialist knowledge in the following DE specific solutions Navisworks Manage, Solibri Model Checker, Aconex, Bentley Synchro, Bentley ProjectWise, Revizto
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills suitable to communicating complex scenarios.
  • Ability to analyse complex data, draw conclusions, produce reports and make recommendations to senior management / leadership team.
