Sydney Metro West is a transformational 24 km underground railway connecting Sydney CBD to Parramatta, with stations at Westmead, Parramatta, Sydney Olympic Park, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock, The Bays, Pyrmont and Hunter Street.

 

The Linewide package connects the entire system, delivering the critical rail infrastructure and technology that bring the metro network to life.

 

Project offices are located across several Sydney locations including the CBD, Clyde, Rosehill, The Bays and Burwood North.

The Role:

As the Receptionist at our Darling Park (CBD) office, you will act as the first point of contact for all company queries whilst providing administrative support across the office on a multi billion-dollar infrastructure project.

 

This is key role on a high-profile project, where you will provide an effective, efficient, and professional administration/ support service.

 

  • Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house experience to the client, visitors, external vendors, subcontractors, and community stakeholders as required.
  • Efficiently answer, screen, and forward any incoming phone calls whilst providing generalist information when required.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, coping, distributing, and lodging mail requests for the office.
  • Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access to the building, e.g. issuing visitor badges and following visitor sign in procedures.
  • Provide administrative support across the office which may include; arranging and attending meetings, taking and distributing minutes, and making travel and accommodation arrangements if required.
  • Assist the office manager with office running activities including maintaining shared spaces, light kitchen duties, setting up meeting rooms
  • Monitor office supplies and proactively ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and support overall office efficiency

What We Are Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you will be customer service driven, you’ll demonstrate a proactive outlook and initiative and have the ability to work without close supervision.

Your strong time management skills and efficiency will allow you to prioritise your workload efficiently to ensure you meet all deadlines. 

 

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an office environment in a similar role.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work within challenging time frames.
  • Skills in dealing with paper and electronic files, managing email and creating an effective workspace.
  • Skills in resolving issues and overcoming obstacles that may arise.
  • Knowledge of document management procedures and processes.
  • Use of basic functions of Microsoft word, excel and email software.
