About the Role:

John Holland’s Infrastructure division is currently constructing some of Australia’s most complex projects, including the Black Hill to Tomago M1, Gold Coast Light Rail, and Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre. Due to industry expansion, the John Holland Infrastructure business is currently seeking a Strategy, Customer & Markets (NSW/ACT) Manager based in Pyrmont. Reporting to the GM of Strategy, Customer & Markets, key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Develop, nurture, and sustain enduring relationships with customers and stakeholders, including peak bodies, government entities, community groups, supply chain partners, designers, consultants, and end users.
  • Identify and prioritise major prospects in line with short to medium strategic goals and determine the probability of winning a project
  • Develop and lead winning prospect strategies up until formal EOI and Tender phase. Work with pre-contracts teams to support conversation of prospects to projects through the EOI/Tender phase by advocating win themes and customer priorities
  • Contribute to the development, establishment, and implementation of strategic plans spanning 0-5 years.
  • Promote John Holland's capabilities and position John Holland Infrastructure in the market
  • Identify new market sectors and develop and implement strategies to effectively penetrate those markets

About You:

To be considered for this key role, you must have:

 

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Construction, Commerce, Engineering, or Science is preferred. Other backgrounds will be considered.
  • Significant experience in business development and or tendering
  • Experience working with government entities  
  • The ability to quantify business risk and return on investment
  • The ability to work in a fast paced tendering environment
  • Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders
